[edit] Abstract

This research investigates the cultural records that are retained in anthrosols at Epse in the Netherlands. Kubiena samples were taken for micromorphology, image and microprobe analysis to understand the role of input regarding soil fertility. To identify black carbonaceous material electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) was performed. Oxygen/carbon ratios between 0.05 and 0.1 indicated charcoal. Black carbonaceous is important input in sandy anthropogenic soils.
