[edit] Alternate Recording Schemes
There is no one ideal recording scheme; different situations call for different recording schemes. One instance of a challenging situation is the recording of alluvial sections where the depositional sequence is strongly superimposed by gleyic, redoximorphic features. Sedimentary sequences in general often call for slightly different recording systems.
Listed below are alternate recording schemes used by SASSA users:
- Recording system for alluvial sequences designed by Worcestershire Historic Environment and Archaeology Service in collaboration with David Jordan from Terra Nova Ltd.
Please contact the SASSA administrator if you would like to add a recording scheme, but don't currently have editing rights.
