The wearing away of the land surface (soil or rock) by natural (e.g.water, wind, ice and gravity) or anthropogenic agents that abrade, detach and remove material from one point on the earth's surface and deposit it elsewhere. This includes including such processes as gravitational creep and tillage erosion.
