[edit] SASSA Wiki Deletion Policy

To prevent accidental or deliberate vandalism of the SASSA site, page and file deltions can only be carried out by the SASSA administrator.

Pages and files could be considered for deletion for any of the following reasons:

  • Redundant - duplication of page content or files
  • Inappropriate - Off topic for SASSA
  • Wrongly uploaded or created e.g. new user test pages
  • Willfull vandalism
  • Contain offensive material
  • Contain sensitive or personal information
  • Copyright infringement

If you create or spot a page or file that you feel should be nominated for deletion you should contact the SASSA administrator stating your reasons for requesting the deletion.

If the deletion is uncontentious, for example:

  • an act of obvious vandalism,
  • a file wrongly uploaded and the deltion request comes from the file creator, or
  • a page created by mistake and the deletion request comes from the page creator.

the SASSA administrator will delete the page on receiving the request.

In all other cases the SASSA administrator will flag the page as nominated for deletion and request that other registered users comment on this request within a 28 day period. The consensus of opinion will then be used to make a decision about deletion. If no one comments on the proposed deletion within the 28 day period the SASSA administrator will use their discretion as to the deletion.

Deleted pages can be restored. If a page has been deleted that you think should be restored, contact the SASSA administrator.
