Editing SASSA Wiki
To limit the potential for vandalism only registered users can edit SASSA Wiki. If you would like to edit a topic or article please contact Ted Pollard.
Those with editing rights can edit both content and discussion pages, create new pages, and upload files. Please note that once you have created a new page or uploaded a file it is not possible to delete them. The software consortium Wikimedia have created a sandbox where you can practice editing content and adding links MediaWiki's sandbox. Please experiment in their sandbox before editing SASSA.
Although pages and files can't be deleted all edits to a page can be reversed so don't be afraid to try.
Certain content pages such as these help files are protected, however, the discussion pages can still be edited and these should be used to suggest possible changes to the content.
To edit existing content:
- Go to the page you would like to edit,
- Click on the edit page tab,
- Make your changes to the text,
- Scroll to the bottom and choose to Save page.
Basic text edits are very straightforward. All you need to do is to type as you would normally. Note, however, that single line returns are ignored by SASSA Wiki. To start a new line of text you must put in two returns.
