[edit] How to register with the Field Tool
To register with the SASSA Field Tool click on Field Tool or go to the SASSA website and click 'Field Tool' on the left hand tool bar. Under Links there is an option to Register to use SASSA Field Tool. There is no charge for registration and use of the Field Tool.
The field tool is a multi user programme. This means that more than one user at an archaeological site can access the data entered on that site if the usernames are added to the Usernames permitted to access this site data box. However, parts of the data can be accessed only by specific users. For example, User 1 (probably the site director) may have access to all the site data. An archaeological excavator (e.g. User 2) may only have access to the data from the trench they are excavating unless User 1 allows User 2 to have access to the Site Data. From the Site Data level, User 2 would be able to access the data on other trenches at the site.
