[edit] Adding Case Studies

The case studies are the key to SASSA as they serve to illustrate the range of research questions, analytical techniques, site types and global locations. Please ensure that case study material does not breach copyright.

We recommend that case studies are added as pdfs to prevent further editing of the the pages.

To create a case study you will need to create a link to a new summary page from the Case Study Home Page. Choose the topic you wish to associate your study with. The link will look something like this:

[edit] Example

Scenario: A case study about a project coring alluvial deposits in Avonmouth.

 1. Log in to SASSA Wiki.
 2. Go to Upload file in the toolbox and upload the pdf of the case study.
 3. Go to Case Studies from the navigation pane.
 4. Choose an appropriate topic(s) e.g. Coring under technique, and / or Alluvial sequence under site type and click edit.
 5. Add a link to the summary page using an appropriate page name and link text and save the edit e.g. Avonmouth alluvial coring project
 6. Click on the new link to open the new summary page and cut and paste the following text which will produce the navigation pane along the top of the page and edit the Case Study title. SASSA Home Page ⇒ Case Studies Home Page ⇒ Title of your case study
 7. Add a title using the ==Page Title== heading format.
 8. Write a very short introductory summary of the study, including authors names, any copyright conditions, and a list of up to 8 keywords.
 9. Add a link to the pdf, e.g. .
 10. Save the page and check your link works. If it hasn't found the pdf the link will be red; remember links are case sensitive and check your spelling carefully.

Please keep your PDFs below 1Mb in size.
